Are you in immediate danger?
Find a safe space - If an incident has just happened, go to a safe location where there are other people, e.g. the library on campus, a shop or eatery if in a public place.
If you are in immediate danger or seriously injured call 999 (or 112 from a mobile). If you are hard of hearing, download the 999 BSL App.
If you are on campus, contact Campus Security Services via the SafeZone App., by dialling 333 from any internal telephone, or 01792 513333 on a mobile. Thank you for choosing to report anonymously. We understand that this might be a difficult time for you, and we want to help connect you to support.
Choosing to report anonymously means that we might not be able to assist you directly, but we can signpost you to support services, and potentially help others. The information you provide, will help us to improve our services, e.g., conduct fact based preventative work across the University. However, anonymous reporting will NOT lead to formal action being taken against any perpetrators.
As outlined in the Student Privacy Notice, any information provided within this report may be shared with internal teams and external partners if it is necessary to protect someone’s vital interests (e.g. sharing with emergency services or internal teams in cases of serious risk), or to carry out tasks in the public interest (e.g. fulfilling legal obligations, safeguarding, or supporting public health and safety).
Additionally, our Safeguarding Policy outlines that any safeguarding concerns and allegations will be handled in confidence. However, since these individuals may be invited to participate in statutory safeguarding processes by Safeguarding authorities, complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
The report should take around 5-10 minutes to fill in, depending on the level of detail you provide. There are questions that are optional including demographic questions. These help us to learn more about who, when and where issues are taking place, but if you don't want to answer them you can skip ahead to the next question.
Your data is important to us. We will not collect or store any information that goes against our privacy policy.
